Summer (December – February)

Summer in Noosa is warm, humid, and vibrant. Average daytime temperatures range from 25°C to 30°C, often accompanied by cooling sea breezes. This is also the wettest time of year, with short but intense afternoon storms rolling in.

Despite the humidity, it’s a fantastic time to enjoy the beach, particularly at Noosa Main Beach, where gentle waves make it ideal for swimming and surfing. Early mornings and late afternoons are especially pleasant for outdoor activities.

Autumn (March – May)

Autumn is arguably one of the best times to visit Noosa. The humidity begins to drop, rainfall eases, and temperatures hover comfortably between 20°C and 28°C.

The ocean remains warm, making it perfect for swimming, while the slightly quieter atmosphere allows visitors to explore places like Noosa National Park without the peak-season crowds.

Winter (June – August)

Winter in Noosa is mild and dry, with daytime temperatures typically between 18°C and 24°C. Nights can be cooler, but frost is virtually unheard of.

This season is perfect for hiking, dining outdoors, and spotting migrating whales along the coast. The crisp, sunny days highlight the natural beauty of the region, making it ideal for scenic walks and wildlife encounters.

Spring (September – November)

Spring brings a gradual return to warmth, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 27°C. Rainfall remains relatively low, and the region bursts into life with blooming flora and active wildlife.

It’s a great time for water sports, coastal walks, and enjoying the laid-back atmosphere before the summer crowds arrive.
